News From Roger Nielson

Hello everyone,

I hope everyone is still enjoying summer fun!

Summer has zipped by once again and school is back. I hope you had a chance to get away this summer and enjoy a little rest and relaxation.

Anita and I had a chance to spent about 8 nights around Sylvan Lake and area. What a fabulous lake! If you have never been there, you need to check it out sometime.

We also celebrated my dads 83 birthday which was on Aug. 21. We had a great time together celebrating with family and enjoying one of his favourite meals, Chinese. It was good just to hang together and give dad lots of love and support, especially on his special day.

We also got to celebrate Anita’s “39” birthday on Aug 28th, enjoying a roast beef meal at home with family… I love birthdays… lots of cake and ice cream!!!

Enjoy this month’s Ezine!

All the best,

Coming Through!

Two fish are in a tank. One says to the other,
“Do you know how to drive this thing?”

Your Work E-mail is What?

• I’m employed at a computer security company and have a colleague whose name is M. Alware. His e-mail address is malware@company.com.
• My ex-boss’s name is R. Stone. His e-mail was stoner@company.co.in.

• My name is James Pan. Every other permutation of my name was taken
(e.g., jpan, jamesp), so I’m stuck with japan@university.edu.

Thirsty Vampire

Q:  Why did the vampire get fired from the blood bank?
A:  He was caught drinking on the job!

If you are like most people, the idea of riding the stock market ‘roller coaster’ makes you feel a little queasy.
The highs can be a lot of fun, but the lows really give you a kickin’ (and there seem to be a lot more lows than highs for most investors). While real estate also follows a cycle, it tends to be a much more gradual one.

Investing in revenue properties offers us limited immunity from fluctuation.
This means that you don’t tend to see the massive ups and downs of the stock and commodity markets.
It’s a much gentler ride, and tends to provide very solid returns on investment over the long run.
This is another reason I prefer real estate investing over other kinds of investments.
